Welcome to the Leicestershire Aero Club.

This year we celebrate 100 years since the club was formed and 80 years since the first aircraft was obtained and Leicestershire Aero Club became a ‘Flying Club’. In 1909 Bleriot first flew the English Channel and people started to take aviation seriously. In the same year a small group of enthusiasts formed the Leicester Aero Club, and met on a regular basis in a city centre hotel. They had neither planes nor airfield, but Sir Samuel Faire and Baron de Forest led a keen following who even hosted an Air Pageant at Aylestone before the first World War, (1914-18).

Leicestershire Aeroclub also offers Aerobatics Training using the AOPA Aerobatics Course syllabus.
